He joined the industry in 1979 and has held a number of senior roles within the electricity distribution and contracting industries. This includes a position as General Manager of a major electrical power line contracting business in the Kapiti region. He is a member of the NZ Institute of Directors and has previously held a number of senior roles in the electrical contracting and electricity utility industries, including positions with Westinghouse Cubic in London, Waitaki Power and Meridian Energy in New Zealand. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and his previous work experience includes positions with Audit New Zealand and the Office of the Auditor General in South Africa.

General Manager Power Line Contracting Allen has been General Manager of Scanpower’s Power Line Contracting division since 2012. He joined the industry in 1979 and has held a number of senior roles within the electricity distribution and contracting industries. This includes a position as General Manager of a major electrical power line contracting business in the Kapiti region.

Director Rodney has held senior positions in the NZ food industry including 12 years as Chief executive of international brands such as Yoplait, Birdseye, Leggos, and Edgell. We contract with, and charge, electricity retailers on an aggregated basis for distribution services in our region. Shares in the company are held by the Scanpower Customer Trust on behalf of all connected customers in the region.
On an annual basis, the company makes a distribution of funds to local customers by way of an annual network discount. Scanpower discloses a significant amount of information regarding our activities including our annual asset management plan, statement of corporate intent, pricing information, annual reports and annual regulatory disclosures. Shares in the company are held by the Scanpower Customer Trust on behalf of all connected customers in the region. On an annual basis, the company makes a distribution of funds to local customers by way of an annual network discount.
Scanpower discloses a significant amount of information regarding our activities including our annual asset management plan, statement of corporate intent, pricing information, annual reports and annual regulatory disclosures. The Trust ensures the cost of electricity to customers is minimised by directing Scanpower to distribute any financial surplus back to the customers in the form of discounts on an annual basis. Other enquiries such as temporary disconnections, house relocation, new power supplies and trees can also be directed to any member of our network management team
